On tired days I use one rule: pick a neighbourhood and do not leave it. Coffee, lunch, a bookshop, a short walk, dinner within a 15-minute radius. That is the whole plan.
Cross-town hops look efficient in maps and feel bloody in legs. A tight zone turns fatigue into atmosphere. You start recognising corners. You get that quiet local feeling without the performance of "discovering" six districts in one day.
A simple neighbourhood loop
- Morning: café with outdoor seats
- Midday: one museum or market, max
- Late day: park or riverside sit
- Night: anywhere walking distance that still has a table
Save a handful of options in that zone the day before. When hunger hits, you choose from a short list — swipe, pick, go — instead of opening ten tabs while everyone waits.
